Ran develops for Android since 2009, and spends his time between consulting, training and building top-notch applications either for small start-ups or large organizations like Channel 2 news.

Ran is the Co-founder of the Israel Android Developer Association.

Cloud to device messaging (C2DM) allows third-party application servers to send messages to their android applications.

In this presentation we will talk about push vs. poll, C2DM architecture and software components.

By the end will build a sample C2DM application and server.
